Hi, I’m Patti, founder of Timber & Bay. I’ve always been drawn to the feeling of being up north — near the water, surrounded by nature, where everything slows down and feels right.

My favorite place is our small but mighty cottage, where every inch has to be intentional and work hard. It taught me how much thoughtful planning matters — not just how a home looks, but how it flows and feels to live in.

Timber & Bay was inspired by the idea that a home should reflect the people who live in it. Over the years, working through remodels of my own homes, I began noticing something interesting.

Contractors bring homes to life through skilled building. Designers refine the aesthetic layers that make a home beautiful.

But in many projects, the most important question comes earlier:

How should the space actually work?

“That space in between — the thoughtful planning of how rooms flow and function — is where Timber & Bay lives. “

Based in Wisconsin and working with homeowners and contractors both locally and virtually, Timber & Bay helps clarify layout decisions before construction begins — whether working directly with homeowners or alongside their contractor.

During transitional times — expanding families, remote work, empty nests, or aging in place — homeowners don’t necessarily want to move. They simply want their current home to work better for the way they live today.

That’s where I focus my work: reimagining how spaces flow so they support real life.

Many homes look beautiful, but something about them doesn’t quite feel right.

Often it isn’t the finishes — it’s the layout.

When spaces flow naturally and support the way people actually live, the entire home feels calmer and more aligned.

Every project follows a simple, intentional progression—designed to bring clarity, alignment, and ease.

Layout → Beauty → Calm

The result isn’t just a beautiful home—it’s a home that feels right, every day.

Layout first…then pillows
