Timber & Bay Design Projects
Space Planning - Michigan Lake Home
Challenge
The homeowners wanted to transform an attached garage into a comfortable primary suite with laundry while adding a new “Lake Lounge” for relaxing and entertaining. The design challenge required balancing the existing structure with the homeowners’ wish list while creating a natural flow between new and existing spaces.
Solution
Through virtual space planning, Timber & Bay developed multiple layout concepts that explored different ways to organize the new spaces. After reviewing the options, the homeowners selected their preferred layout and requested additional refinements, ultimately dividing the remodel into two construction phases to simplify contractor bidding and allow the project to be completed over time.
